Description of impact
The project “Land Information for Land Management” (Li4LaM, ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-Project: 101083003) include: European institutions - Technische Universität Wien (TUW, Project Coordinator), University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), University of Agriculture in Krakow (UAK), and University of Ljubljana (UL); and Ethiopian institutions - Debre Markos University (DMU), Bahir Dar University (BDU), Woldia University (WU), and Addis Ababa University (AAU).The Li4LaM project developed and delivered state-of-the-art teaching materials for 12 existing land management modules at four Ethiopian universities. It also created one new module (5 ECTS) tailored to each university’s regional needs and one Lifelong Learning (LLL) module (10 ECTS) to strengthen local professional skills. All modules were supported by digital and in-person learning materials, including videos, animations, recorded lectures, and PDF textbooks.
An LLL strategy and a Quality Assurance and Accreditation Manual were also prepared for the partner universities. By providing up-to-date electronic resources and modern teaching tools, the project improved access to education and enhanced the pedagogical and technical capacities of Ethiopian universities.
