Research summary

Hassan is a PhD Candidate in the Urban Development & Mobility Department. Hassan is working on a data-driven machine learning solution to analyze and mitigate people exposure to air pollution. In his thesis, he aims to overcome critical limitations and gaps in air pollution quantification and monitoring by employing satellite data and AI techniques. This research will advance the understanding of urban air pollution dynamics, and contribute to environmental science, remote sensing, and machine learning domains. Hassan's research is funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund through the D4H: Data Science of Digital History PRIDE programme.

Hassan holds a Master Degree in Complex and Intelligent Systems Engineering from the Université de Technology de Compiegne (UTC) and the Lebanese University (LU).

Hassan’s interests are related in particular to Engineering, Science, Technology, Health and Sports.
