Malvika Dixit is a Research Associate within the department of Urban Development and Moblity at LISER, where she investigates the behavioral dimensions of emerging mobility technologies such as autonomous vehicles. Malvika completed her PhD at TU Delft on data-driven public transport planning. She was awarded the Young Researcher of the Year 2022 award by the International Transport Forum (ITF) for her research on inclusive mobility conducted as part her PhD.
She has a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, India and an MSc in Transport with distinction from Imperial College London. She has also worked for three years as a transport planner for a private consulting firm in Dubai, and for two years at Amazon, Luxembourg contributing to the long-term planning of their end-to-end transportation network for Europe.
Malvika's research focuses on applied topics spanning public transport planning, emerging technologies, behavioral modeling, and data science, with a strong emphasis on equity and the societal implications of mobility policies.
