Research summary
Since 2016, Sam Cosaert is a researcher in economics at the labour market department of LISER. He is also a research affiliate at KU Leuven where he obtained his PhD in Economics in June 2015. He received authorization to supervise PhDs (Autorisation à diriger des Recherches) at the University of Luxembourg in 2018.
Sam Cosaert works on microeconomics. His research brings theories of (individual and household) consumer demand and labour supply to the data, by using revealed preference methods. He is also the principal investigator of theoretical, empirical and experimental investigations of household time choices, a research grant supported by the FNR (TIMING). His research has been published in scientific journals such as Economic Journal, The Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Public Economics, American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, Quantitative Economics, and Economic Theory.
