Research summary

I am Research Associate in the Labour Market department at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER). Moreover, I am Senior Researcher at the Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim as well as Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) in Bonn. Previously, I was team leader of the research group Digital Transformation at IZA as well as Data Scientist in the Analytics division of REWE Group.

My research interests include

  • effects of digitalization and demographic change on firms, workers and labor markets

  • causal evaluation of public policies and institutions such as minimum wages

  • data science and machine learning with big data.

My research has been published in leading international journals such as Journal of the European Economic Association or Journal of Public Economics.

I have conducted several policy consulting projects for leading institutions such as the OECD, European Commission or various German Federal Ministries and served as an expert for the Enquete Commission "Artificial Intelligence" of the German Bundestag,
