Research summary
Thierry Kruten has been Director of Information Systems of the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) since 2023. He joined in 2019 as Head of Data Centre platform. He holds an MSc in Economics and an MSc in Information Technology, both from the University of Nancy (France).
He acted previously as Director of Operations at LIS (2003-2019), responsible for managing the data and IT infrastructure and data operations. He has extensive expertise, for about 25 years, especially in conducting and managing large-scale data projects in, but not limited to, Social Sciences.
He also has acquired additional expertise in statistical computing, analysis of surveys and data management throughout prior consultancy positions for Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union (EU) and KPMG.
