Guide for Living Labs in Regeneration of neighbourhoods towards a low-carbon, inclusive and affordable built environment

This document outlines guidelines for implementing living labs as a strategy for urban regeneration within the REGEN project (HORIZON EU G.A. n°101123325).
It is structured into three main sections that detail the essential phases of living lab implementation: preliminary steps, the process, and evaluation. The guide specifically addresses four demo sites chosen for the REGEN project, selected for their diverse socio-spatial characteristics and their alignment with the project's objectives.
Key stakeholders and local partners were identified during the initial stages of the project, and this document provides them with tools to design and experiment with various interventions. This guide is part of a broader initiative within REGEN that aims to enhance the resilience of these communities and stakeholders, fostering socio-territorial resilience through social innovation and participatory urban design.
Employing an iterative design thinking approach, this document not only seeks to facilitate the urban regeneration process at these demo sites but also aims to foster the creation of community-produced knowledge involving various local stakeholders.
Therefore, this guide should be considered a living document, subject to refinement over time based on insights and lessons learned from ongoing fieldwork as the living lab interventions are implemented.
All community stakeholders and selected local partners are thus de facto contributors to the body of knowledge that this document aims to disseminate by the end of the REGEN project
