Abstract

A society that is still young, but ageing fast: in 10 years, the number of people aged over 85 has risen by 53.5% and the number of centenarians by 35.8.
Seniors are examined here from various perspectives: the breakdown of their population, their nationality, the languages they speak, their relationship with the workforce, their family situation, and their possible disability status
