Panel at the event "Housing young people in the affordability-crisis context: a European view on family support, market supply and policy responses"

Impact: Stakeholder Activity

Description de l'impact

This workshop welcomed over 30 participants from academia (LISER, Uni.Lu), policy (e.g., civil servants from ministries) and practice (e.g., PWC, NGOs), in addition to online attendants. It aimed to (i) contribute to building a research agenda on young people's housing needs and the related supply and policy responses (keynote, academic papers*), (ii) draw political attention to the housing situation of young people (introduction of the Luxembourg context, panel introduced by the Housing Minister with local stakeholders**), and (iii) strengthen the academic community interested in young people's housing issues (and make LISER more visible therein).
*International academic speakers: Charlotte Casier (BE), Igor Costarelli (IT), Oana Druta (NL), Petr Kubala (CZ), Richard Ronald (Keynote; NL), Jakub Zasina (PL)
**Panellists: Luc Biever (Ministry of Housing), Jean-Michel Campanella (Tenant's Union), Lindsay Flynn (Uni.Lu), Gilles Hempel (Foundation for access to housing), Mehdi Mribah (Youth Work Synergy NGO), Nathalie Schirtz (Ministry of Education)
