Intérêts de recherche
Christophe Sohn est un géographe urbain et politique et chercheur au département Développement Urbain et Mobilité. Ses recherches portent sur les façons dont les frontières nationales peuvent représenter une ressource économique, politique ou symbolique pour les villes et régions frontalières. Il s'intéresse particulièrement au concept de régions métropolitaines transfrontalières comme configuration emblématique de l'intégration des régions frontalières urbaines globalisées. Ses travaux les plus récents portent sur le recodage symbolique des frontières dans les initiatives de régionalisation transfrontalière en Europe et en Amérique du Nord. Depuis 2018, Christophe est co-rédacteur en chef du Journal of Borderlands Studies.
