Jules Linden is a PhD Researcher working on the EnviroSim project (FNR AFR individual) which models the impact of environmental policy on consumption behaviour, greenhouse gas emissions and the income distribution using microsimulation modelling and agent-based modelling. With his project, Jules investigates the equity-efficiency trade-off of environmental policy in Luxembourg and Ireland. His supervisory team consists of Dr Denisa Sologon (LISER) and Prof Cathal O’Donoghue (NUI Galway).
Prior to his current project, Jules worked as research assistant at LISER, where he contributed to the development of an extension of the SIMDECO infrastructure to nowcast the distributional effect of the COVID-19 crisis as part of the MOVID project. During his time as research assistant, he also worked with data from Luxembourg’s Voting Advice Application (Smartwielen) and studied the role of social capital in Luxembourg’s labour market.
Jules completed a BSc in Economics and Business Economics at Maastricht University and a MSc in Public Policy and Human Development at Maastricht University and UNU-MERIT.
