Intérêts de recherche

María has a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University Carlos III of Madrid (Spain) entitled: "Small area estimation under complex sampling designs". She join LISER in September 2017 as a statistician in the Data Center. A part from the working hands on survey methodology, she carries out research mainly on Small area estimation. Her most recently published article in Computational Statistics and Data Analisis (CSDA), jointly with Domingo Morales and Isabel Molina, was " Time stable empirical best predictors under a unit-level model".

Her fields of interest are: Small area estimation, survey methodology, calibrated estimators, informative sampling, non response correction, estimation of the variance in the presence of non response.
