Profil personnel

Intérêts de recherche

I am a Research Associate in the cross-departmental Research Programme on Health and Health Systems, which I joined in late 2019 shortly after completing my PhD in Economics at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. My main research interests lie in applied health economics, with a focus on low and middle income settings.

Building on PhD research, I study the impact of biological indicators of nutritional status on labor outcomes, such as earnings and labor supply, in contemporary China. Since I joined LISER I also got involved in EXHAUSTION, a Horizon2020-financed project aimed at uncovering the impact of climate events related to temperature and air quality on health and labor productivity in advanced economies. Finally, I recently began to work on the population health consequences of trade embargoes, as a first step into the larger field of the consequences of warfare and other coercive practices involving civilian populations.
