Intérêts de recherche

I am a quantitative theorist in the field of international and labor economics. My research interests mainly focus on economics of international migration, international trade, development and labor economics. In my recent publications, I focused on answering the following research questions:

- What is the economic impact of international migration for populations in sending and receiving countries? How migrants affect wage distributions in these countries, and what are the effects within occupations and sectors?

- How does self-selection of migrants affects the distributive nature of the economic impact of migration? Who wins and who loses from migration? Which groups of workers are vulnerable to inflows of migrants?

- What is the pattern of migrants' sorting on host-country labor markets, and what consequences does it impose? What is the magnitude of labor market displacement effects induced by immigrants?

- What are the long-term prospects for global human mobility? How does the proces of economic development and growth affect them? What is the role of climate change in incentivizing human mobility?

- How does inflow of immigrants affect the firms' willingness to implement automation, and what welfate effect does it cause? What is the relationship between migration and technical change across occupations and sectors?
