Description
This Doctoral Training Unit (DTU) consists of an interdisciplinary consortium of 16 researchers active in Economics and Sociology research related to the scientific issues of migration, inequality and labour markets. The objective of the consortium is to create a center of excellence where new generation of researchers can benefit from unexploited synergies from Economic and Social Sciences approaches. The DTU gather members across three Luxembourgisch research units and institutions:
(1) the CENTER for Research in Economics Analysis and Management (CREA), acting as a Research Unit and the department of Economics and Management in the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF) at the University of Luxembourg (UL),
(2) the INtegrative research unit on Social and INdividual DEvelopment (INSIDE), acting as a Research Unit in sociology in the Faculty of Language and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education (FLSHASE) at the University of Luxembourg (UL) and
(3) the Luxembourg Insitute for Socio-Economic Research (LISER), acting as public research insitute under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Higher Ediucation and Research of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Th DTU also builds on doctoral education support of the Doctoral Schools of Economics and FInance (DSEF) and the DOctoral School in SOcial Sciences (DSSS), that are responsible for the doctoral education in Economics (for CREA in FDEF) and Sociology (for INSIDE in FLSHASE). It also benefits from the support of the Graduate Studies Program (GraSp) at LISER.
