GENTRAS - Place et rôle des partenaires sociaux dans la mise en œuvre de l'égalité entre femmes et hommes au Luxembourg

The aim of the PhD research project funded by the Fonds national de la recherche (Luxembourg) is to analyze the attributions of social partners at the different levels of collective bargaining in the implementation of European Union gender policies in Luxembourg. The hypothesis put forward by the research considers that there is both a varying intensity of the social partners' role depending on the level of bargaining and a progressive decrease of the involvement of social partners during the gender policy implementation process. From a theoretical point of view, we mobilize the social transaction approach (Remy, Voyé, Servais, 1978; Fusulier, Marquis 2008, 2009) that is articulated with analyses of the social partners at the different levels of social dialogue and the collective bargaining on the implementation of one particular gender policy. The methodology rests on a documentary analysis and semi-directive interviews with relevant actors.
