Résumé
Ivonne Weichold explores alternative densification scenarios in the built environment without giving up productive agricultural land. This investigation draws upon the long lineage of one of the most pervasive landscape analysis methodologies and design: landscape suitability analysis through composite mapping. Based on that, her case study Luxembourg has been remapped for its ecological soil quality to uncover potential “agri-urban landscapes”. Eventually, a series of land-use conflicts and potentials can be made visible.
