Résumé

Bernard P. (1999) considers social cohesion as a quasi-concept: a hybrid mental construction proposed by the political game and at the same time based on an analysis of data from the situation. He understands social cohesion as a dialectic balance between three values: freedom, equality, and solidarity. His theory leads him to draw a definitional framework containing two facets: relations and spheres.
