Research summary

After completing his PhD at Harvard University, Massimo Morelli pursued his academic career in the United States, where he was Professor of Economics and Political Science at Columbia University from 2007 to 2014, before moving to Bocconi University.
He is a Fellow of the Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory and the Econometric Society.
He is also a Research Fellow at a number of leading institutions, including the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), the Innocenzo Gasparini Institute for Economic Research (IGIER) and the Baffi Carefin Centre.
He is Director of the PERICLES Unit at Bocconi University and Chair of the Minorities in Economics (MinE) Committee of the European Economic Association.
His research spans a wide range of topics including game theory, mechanism design, political economy, institutions of governance, development economics, behavioural and public economics, comparative politics and international relations. In each of these fields, he has made major contributions.
 
Professor Morelli has published extensively in the most prestigious journals in both economics and political science, including Econometrica, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Political Economy, the Review of Economic Studies, the American Economic Review and the American Journal of Political Science.
