Résumé

At a time of globally intensifying yet highly unequally felt crises, an overwhelming majority of formal governmental bodies continues to adhere to institutional frameworks in which social justice and ecological integrity are no more than secondary objectives. Committed primarily to market integrity and economic growth, key top-down governance arrangements appear out of sync with the immediate needs of the majority of populations and ecosystems. The continued deterioration of the latter, meanwhile, further exacerbates the deepening socio-economic inequalities both within and across the Global North and South.
