Giulia Buscicchio is a post-doctoral researcher at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and a visiting researcher at the University of Luxembourg under the PROPEL project, led by Lindsay Flynn. In 2021, she completed her Ph.D. in Applied Social Psychology at Bielefeld University (Germany) and Catholic University (Milan).
Her research interests lie in the field of gender stereotypes, planned behaviors, and housing. Giulia's work in these areas has been published in highly-ranked peer-reviewed international outlets, such as the Sustainability Journal and Media and Communication.
During her Ph.D. studies, Giulia developed a keen interest in designing experimental studies to investigate the effect of gender-stereotyped language on the hiring process. Her research in this domain contributes to the understanding of gender biases in employment contexts.
Currently, Giulia is actively involved in studying housing behaviors, utilizing experimental methodologies and structural equation models to explore factors influencing intention to apply for rental subsidies and preferences related to housing policies. Her research aims to inform and improve housing policies and practices.
